Criteria

College Scholarship Awards Graduating high school seniors must:
have a 3.3 Grade Point Average
play Varsity Lacrosse with intentions of playing college lacrosse,
have participated in one other Varsity sport,
be able to substantiate outstanding leadership qualities and character.
It is the intent of the fund to be supplemental to any other scholarships
or grants already available to the student. It is not intended
to replace existing scholarships offered by colleges or other
agencies. Awards are made for a one time, fixed dollar amount,
subject to all other restrictions. The award is paid directly
to the school or accredited institution of higher learning to
be used for tuition, room or board.
It is the intent of the scholarship fund to award students of
recognized academic achievements with active participation in
organized school sports. Honors or advanced placement courses
will be given extra consideration.
It is the intent of the Scholarship Fund to award to a student
who has evidenced the ability to lead others, demonstrated through
positions as team captain, student organization officer or other
elected or appointed positions of leadership.
It is the intent of the Scholarship Fund to award students who
are also involved in other activities outside of athletics, demonstrated
by active participation in other school, church or community activities.
It is the intent of the Scholarship Fund to meet all NCAA requirements.
If these criteria conflict with any existing or future NCAA restrictions,
NCAA regulations will take precedence.
Award is payable to the college or university of the recipients
choice. Applications
are due by April 1st of each year and are available through The
Kevin E. Reichardt Foundation.
